Meet Our Trainers
Corrine Lightfoot
Corrine Lightfoot has been a dog trainer since 2016. She is the founder of Lightpaws Dog Training.
Corrine has experience with all sorts of areas of expertise, ranging from behavioral issues, like dog reactivity and aggression, all the way to therapy dog work and showing in different sports, like rally and agility.
Corrine’s story started with Roxie and a group project in college, where she was tasked to fix a problem behavior. Roxie had every problem a dog could possibly have. She couldn’t be left alone, she had bitten several people that rang the doorbell, and was now extremely aggressive to Juno; her sister’s dog. While they were never truly able to repair the rift in Roxie and Juno’s relationship, Roxie became a hard working dog. She helps other dogs become less reactive and aggressive as well as helps children become less afraid of dogs on her therapy dog visits.
Corrine has graduate level training in cognitive behavioral therapy and a bachelor’s degree in counseling psychology. This is why she uses cognitive behavioral techniques in her dog training. She is accredited by the AKC to certify therapy dogs and perform the evaluations for the CGC, ATT, Puppy Stars, and Trick dog titles.
Corrine does in person dog training in Gettysburg, Hanover, New Salem Littlestown, and York area. Corrine also offers in-home house sitting and dog walking as some of her other services.
Corrine is currently unavailable for scheduling due to being on maternity leave!
Hailey Keefer began her training journey back in 2019. From teaching her own dogs simple tricks, to small tasks to help her through life. Hailey has knowledge and experience in several areas such as obedience training, behavioral modification, taking the time to really focus of fear based aggression and behavioral issues. She also has experience in the field of dogs sports, such as agility and lure coursing! Hailey’s’ journey began with her own pup named Abby, and an issue that no trainer was willing to help with it seemed. Abby, a husky/blue heeler mix had severe resource guarding issues, and due to an emergent situation the issue needed addressed much sooner than planned. Abby would not let you take bones, food, or even come near if these items were involved. The issues only got worse as she aged, and she would snap at dogs, people, children, she didn’t care. After a situation arose where Abby would now be living with 2 young children, Hailey decided to reach out for help. After being told by numerous trainers the only option was to rehome her beloved pet she had enough and decided to get to work. With time and patience Hailey achieved her goal of allowing the children and her pup to peacefully coexist without any issues. This led Hailey on her journey of completing college and becoming a certified Obedience trainer. Her journey didn’t stop there, she continued to help dogs become well mannered pups in todays society, and has worked to become AKC accredited!
Hailey is able to perform AKC S.T.A.R puppy classes and complete evaluations for canine good citizen (CGC) titles and AKC trick dog, soon to be even more!
Hailey does in person dog training in the York, Spring Grove, Littlestown, Gettysburg, and Central MD areas!
